Within August, we completed two core tasks in preparation for the upcoming academic year 2023/2024; a third visit to Borlorla Town and our first general virtual meeting was held on Google Meet.
On the 24th of August, we paid a third visit to Borlorla Town, Bong County to arrange the profiles of the students’ names and photos attached properly. With the help of our teachers in Borlorla and a few town members, we were able to complete this task. A brief meeting was then held with the Town chief and our two teachers to provide information on our level of progress for the program in Borlorla and the expected time we are to start the school year referencing reasons such as the National Elections (2023) which might halt or delay many activities across the country and the expected period that our supplies might be arriving in the country. That climaxed our brief dialogue.
We also reached out to the carpenter via phone call to inform him about the time we will need to get the student benches manufacturing process started. He assured us of his readiness to get it done in time provided we reach out to him early.
Following our Borlorla Town visitation, our first general virtual meeting was held on Google Meet on August 28, 2023 (last Monday). High on the meeting’s agenda was an overview of our activities for the academic year 2023/ 2024 and training on the purposes and usages of the various forms sent for both Program Admin and Teachers’ Trainers.
